Imprint
Draft placeholder — no imprint or promoter wording has been written or invented. This page exists so the footer link resolves to a real page rather than a 404, and to set out clearly what is still needed before launch.
What an imprint is, and why it might apply
UK electoral law (the Elections Act 2022 digital imprint regime) requires an imprint on paid-for political advertising, and on certain other electoral material published online. Whether and when that applies to this site depends on what is actually published or promoted here, not on the site simply existing.
Current position
Andrew is a sitting Wealden District Councillor, not currently an active general election candidate. The bulk of this site's content — council diary posts, casework updates, scrutiny and planning commentary — reflects his work as an elected councillor, which sits on different legal footing from candidate campaign material. The Get updates page keeps campaign contact data structurally separate from council casework; it does not yet carry live campaign material.
Placeholders pending owner/legal confirmation
- Promoter/publisher wording — the specific "promoted by / published by" statement required if and when this site carries electoral material.
- Address — no address is published here. None will be invented; a real one must be supplied and confirmed by Andrew.
- Hosted/published by wording — confirmation of how the site's technical hosting should be described, if required.
- Conservative Party / campaign wording — where and how to state the Conservative Party's role, once relevant.
- Councillor versus campaign material — a clear, visible distinction on the site between Andrew's council work and any future campaign content, so readers can tell which is which at a glance.
Recommended next step
Get a short, specific answer from a qualified adviser — a party compliance officer or election lawyer — on exactly what today's site content requires, and what would trigger a requirement later (for example, if genuine campaign material is published on the Get updates page). This should not be guessed at, and this site will not launch with invented imprint text.
Review status
This page remains a scope map, not a drafted imprint. No promoter, publisher, or address wording has been added, and none will be until real details are supplied and confirmed.
