The Ultimate Irony: The Greens’ “Truth” Leaflet Is Full of Lies
The Greens put out a leaflet titled “Horam and Punnetts Town Fact Checker” claiming they are “100% committed to clean campaigning and telling the truth.” The irony could not be sharper. The leaflet itself is packed with lies.
They say they stopped development with strict sewage rules. The truth? The original refusal came from a Conservative-led committee. The Planning Inspectorate later allowed the development on appeal. The Greens only defended a drainage condition already imposed by the previous Conservative led council and even then the Greens role was peripheral.
Even more shocking, under the Greens, Horam and Punnetts Town are facing more development than ever before. Their “protection” is pure spin.
And they proudly stand in alliance with Labour, the very party that is deeply unpopular here and nationally because of failure and broken promises.
A leaflet meant to “check facts” that is itself full of falsehoods is not just wrong. It is dishonest and insulting to voters.
